Ukraine

Ukraine is an industrial-agrarian country. The most developed branches of its industry are metallurgy, energetics, the chemical and mining industries. The most economically developed regions are:  Donetska, Luganska, Dnepropetrovska and Zaporozhka Districts, as well as the cities – Kiev, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Harkov, Odessa, Lvov, Zaporozhie, Krivoy Rog, etc. 
Ukraine also has well-developed animal breeding and agriculture, the greater part of the country’s territory is covered with chernozemic soils and pasture lands. Western Ukraine is traditionally more agrarian region and tourist destination.
Ukraine has been a member of the World Trade Organization since May 2008.
In Ukraine missile carriers, satellites and space-exploration equipment are produced. Ukraine is one of the most significant producers of military equipment – tanks, military transport aircrafts, zenith-rocket complexes, optic equipment. 
ANN aircrafts, barge carrier ships, walking excavators, precise lathes, electric welding appliances are being produced in Ukraine according to the latest technologies and they comply with the latest world standards. 
Ukraine is a transit country, crossed by 5 to 10 European international transport corridors. All contemporary means of transport have been developed – railway, road, river, sea, pipeline and air. The main sea ports are Odessa, Ilichovsk, Herson, Izmail, Mariupol, Kertch. The main water line is the Dnieper River, navigable rivers are also Desna, Pripet, Dnester, Danube. The airports are located in all district centres, many of them of international significance, as well as in the capital Kiev. 
Along with the other airline companies in Ukraine there are also operating some new airline companies:  “Ukraine International Airlines”, “Keavna”, “Aerosvit”, etc.
